New Year // New Blogger Layout and Random Statements.

I like blue.
I painted my office blue.

I hate resolutions. They never last.

I think I pulled something in my neck.

Happy New Year?

2006. Done.

December 30th. 1 day left in 2006. I thought I'd look back over the past year and see what has happened.

I pieced my motorcycle back together in January and took it for a ride. Which reminds me, I need to get it inspected.

In February, the wife and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary by taking a trip to Charleston, SC. We spent a few days there and had a blast.

March, April and May were a blur. One of those months I purchased a new desktop computer for the office and I picked up some more web design business. It was also around that time that I begin modification and expansion of my vocal studio at the house. Just a side note, but I was listening through some of my production over the last few years and the sound quality in my studio has improved quite a bit.

June, July and August. They all run together in my mind. I know we went to the beach a couple of times and we rode the motorcycle a lot. We were also at Ross Recording a good bit working on music and we starting traveling the latter part of June as Crosswalk.

September, October and November was filled with homecomings dinner on the grounds and Fall Festivals and Vacation. We sang at 6 or 7 homecomings in a row. This is about the time I started putting on my weight. I had dieted and slightly exercised down to 190 - 193 and now I have gradually slid back up to 215. Yikes!!!

We did go on our cruise in September, I'm not sure of the exact dates. I know it was around Mom's birthday (not sure when that is either).

Of course November is Thanksgiving and we celebrated with Family. November also marked the completion of the Crosswalk Project, "I'm gonna sing it!".

November was actually a very busy and event filled month. I can remember it because it wasn't very long ago. The wife celebrated her 25th birthday with Chicken Pox. That was fun!

December to remember (I heard that on a car dealer commercial) of course the big event in December, Scott Aldridge's birthday. He turned 40 this year and he reminded us all about it every few days! Oh yes, Christmas. That was in december as well. Turned out pretty nice. I called it a Low-Key Christmas. It was very relaxed and turned out just lovely. Except for the Rice cooker I got!

Well, in closing, 2006 wasn't all that bad! I know 2007 will start out with a BANG! My birthday is on the 1st. I hope the wife gets me a D80! :)

Christmas Time is Coming

6 days away. That means 5 days until I get started with our Christmas presents.

I did, however, get the Wife's present! While I was at Best Buy not getting her an iPod, I found one for myself!

A black video iPod. I saw it on the shelf as an open box item. It was at a slight discount and the tag said everything was there. I made my purchase (not including the iPod I didn't get for the wife) and on the way home I was going to play with my toy. I took it out of the box and I was going to hok up the earbuds. NO EARBUDS! What is an iPod without earbuds?

I had to turn around and go back to the Best Buy where I didn't buy an iPod for the wife. The customer service lady was very nice and swapped it out for one that was new in the box and still skrink wrapped. Besides that I got another $20 gift card.

Now I just have to decide if I'm going to keep it. I have 14 days.

I'm a Simple Man

I was having a conversation with the wife this past weekend. She asked what I wanted for Christmas. My response was, "I don't need anything. I don't ask for much, I'm a simple man".

She proceeded to laugh.

I think I'm a simple man.

I don't have the latest up to date blackberry.
I don't have the latest up to date computer.
I only have 1 monitor connected to my computer.

I don't understand. Can someone help me out?

Update: THE POX / theChad's Movie Review

The wife still has the pox. She seems to be leveling off the the red dots. Soon they should start healing.

In the interim we are watching A LOT of movies.

Normally I don't have time to sit and watch TV and movies. But I'm trying to sympathetic, of course.

On the movies list, we've watched....
- Click
- MI: III
- RV
- the Sentinnel
- Lord of the Rings (all 3)
- Poesiden

I didn't watch the 2 latter.

Click has it's humerous spots, but over all not one of my favorite Adam Sandler movies.

MI: III was neat. I liked the special effects.

RV was definately funny. Robin Williams is easily one of my favorite actors. This movie had me laughing all the way through.

The Sentinnel was another good movie. I'm a sucker for movies about the Secret Service, the White House or secrert agents with cool gadgets.
Michael Douglas had a Blackberry 7520 just like mine.

Well. Jess will be off work for a few more days. She has been up and about trying to keep the house in order. I'm liking having her at home. Hopefully in the near future this will be a permanent way of life. We'll see!
