Breaking News!

I've got breaking news to report. But it's not fully confirmed with all my sources. You may have seen the hint on the wife's blog.

That's all I'll say - We haven't decided when to post the report, maybe soon?

Spectacular light, sound and water show!

Water splashing in your face, lights flickering, surround sound and the loudest subwoofer you've ever heard.

I'm sitting at the eatin' table with my laptop and blackberry, watching out the window. This is the second night of terrific thunderstorms at the house.

I unplugged all my electronic devices (that took a while), which I normally never bother with, but in this occasion I decided I must!
I would hate to have my computer struck by lightning and fry my hard drive. That would make me sick.

So, I unplugged my whole network and I didn't have any internet! What am I supposed to do??? Oh yes, my handy-dandy Blackberry 8703 with my handy-dandy Gateway laptop and the handy-dandy software from sprint for vista - I'm all set with broadband speed internet.

I decided to blog about it. I reckon I'll post pictures from this weekend since I can't do much else. I'll get wet if I go run my errands in the Jeep!

It's Raining!

So, I'm a Genius, you know!
We had to run some errands tonight and it was beautiful out, so I dropped the top on the Jeep, removed the doors for maximum windage and we were off!
We got about half way through our errands and we heard thunder and saw lightning. Here comes a June thunderstorm!!
So we are currently borrowing the Bank of America drive thru to keep dry! Life is Grand!

Crappy Day?

Have you ever had just a crappy day?
I had one on Sunday! I had worked about 120 the prior week and on my way home early Sunday morning (about 2AM) I was pulled over by the Police.
The officer asked, "Sir, How much have you had to drink tonight?" I responded with, "nothing!"
He then shined his flashlight in my work van and saw the 2 IBC Root Beer glass bottles in my cupholders and asked, "What are those?" I replied with, "that's Root Beer!"
I explained that I had a long week, and a super long day and I was very tired and headed home. He said, "well, drive safe - you were ALL OVER the road!"


I've never been pulled over for DUI, so this was a first. Jessica was on the phone when it all happened and she had a great laugh over it.

Sunday morning I slept late. I'm thinking it was something to do with the lack of sleep during the week, but anyway...We were to meet up with Dad for Father's Day at 1:30. We starting getting ready and headed out the door, I got a few minutes down the road and noticed that I forgot everything I was supposed to bring, including my wallet!
So we had to turn around and needless to say we were "a few" minutes late to lunch.
While at lunch, I was holding my niece. Jessica had just finished holding her and said she was fussy, so I decided to hold her for a few. As soon as I grabbed her, she made this horrible face and looked like she was about to scream.
I sat her on my leg and felt a "bomb" drop. I said, "what was that?" and picked her up and there was my "crappy day"!!!!!

So, if you've paid attention to the news, China Grove had an E. Coli issue at a local restaurant. Turns out, the "southern immigrants" were slaughtering live goats in the kitchen.
Looks like someone fixed their sign board!?!?!?

My newest new Toy!

I finally found the Jeep I was looking for, and the wife and I are now new owners of that Jeep.

Here's the low down.

It's SWEET.

Biltmore Estate

So, We went to the Biltmore Estate over the memorial day weekend and took alot of pictures
One of the most interesting things on the tour, was the Blacksmith shop - he was actually beating metal into submission - it was grand. I took these pictures, enjoy.
